About two weeks ago my mother and I met at the T-mobile store in Orem so that I could switch from At&t over to her plan on Tmobile. We get my phone set up and are both walking out of the store keys in hand and saying our goodbyes when we hear screaching coming from the University Parkway road. We both look and all the sudden a Jeep Cherokee comes over the curb and at about 60 mph takes out a bus stop sign and a full on thirty foot tree. I must say I have never seen a tree that large snap like a toothpick. After taking out the sign and the tree my mother and I are both waiting for the woman to slam on the breaks. But no she continues to have her foot completely pressed on the gas and gains speed for about 200 more yards as she hits my car and sends it spinning around hitting another car sending that car right at my mother and I we had to run to the curb and pretty much dive out of the way. She continues to gain speed and T-bones my moms car and might I add we weren't even parked by each other nor were we facing the same direction. After hitting my moms car her wheels continue to spin and smoke as her Jeep is stuck in the red durango. I ran over to her and yelled for her to take her fat foot off the gas and finally she does so, leans over and picks up a pop can and tries to put a straw in the upside down pop can. She wouldn't respond to anyone and wasn't in the slightest bit hurt after totally five cars including her own. She told the police she "fell asleep" but anyone who saw knew this wasn't the case. My mom and I both saw her as she was about to hit my car and she was sitting straight up very attentive. She passed a sobriety test so she wasn't drunk but we all know she was on something. She wasn't a geezer either, only about 40 years old. You know some mommies like to get hopped up on pain meds or whatever. In the picture above I am standing almost on the sidewalk where she came over. Our cars are where the police lights are so you can see she had an empty parking lot and time to slam on her brakes before hitting our cars. I am voting she was suicidal.
So on my second to last post where I say the shit has hit the fan I was just kidding he he. Here we are jobless and now carless and unable to get a loan for another car because of the joblessness. Luckily Tony's parents are nice enough to lend us their sexy van and in about a week my dad is going to lend me his car. I'm just good luck I guess. I feel that I am lucky though having the type of personality that doesn't stress out about these things and the ability to laugh shitty situations off and I consider my mother and I lucky to be standing by our cars when this happened and not sitting in them. Hopefully this is mine and Tony's test as a couple (cross your fingers!). In closing....... UTA bus pass anyone? Oh wait I can't afford one! ha ha ha ha GO KRUGERS AND BERGSTROMS I MEAN HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN TWO CARS IN ONE FAMILY BEING TOTALLED IN ONE NIGHT THAT WEREN'T EVEN PARKED NEXT TO EACH OTHER! ANYONE? ANYONE?

About a week ago he called my mom and told her that he got a couple interceptions one of which he intercepted and then pitched to Ray Lewis who then ran it in for a touchdown and then chest bumped with Paul haha. Kruger took some time during minicamp to talk to the AFC North blog about, among other things, moving cross country and playing with future Hall of Famers.
You're a young guy (23) moving from one end of the country to another. How is that transition going?
Paul Kruger: You know it's all been so fast and so abrupt that I really don't have time to feel the effects yet. But I think once I have a couple days to let everything sink in and see the city a little bit, it will be more apparent to me how different the situation is.
Did the Ravens show a lot of interest in you during the pre-draft process?
PK: I was definitely surprised. They didn't bring me out here for a visit. They didn't come to Utah [for a workout]. So, yeah, I was definitely surprised.
What are your thoughts on playing in the Mountain West Conference just several months ago to sharing the same huddle with Pro Bowlers like Ray Lewis and Ed Reed?
PK: It gives me something to aspire to. It's somebody you can learn from. These are great guys. Everybody is real welcoming and real nice. So I think for me it's something to work towards. I'm not walking in like I'm the man or anything. I just want work hard and learn from them as much as I can.
How aware are you of the physicality of the AFC North?
PK: Being on this team in it and of itself is just enough to blow you away. But when you realize you're going to be playing teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers and other top-notch teams, you really understand that week to week it's going to be a fight. So I think it's something the coaches are going to keep preparing us for.

The Immaturity Of a 13 year old Collegiate Athlete

Anyone who reads my blog knows who my 13 year old brother Mark is. He is as of now the runt of the family as we sometimes say. But in saying that I do not mean it in a bad way. My family always says, even though Mark will probably be the shortest (short as in 6"2 so the size of to most people a very tall person) but in being the shortest, stalkiest kid in the family he will probably end up the best athlete out of all of us as we say. The other day when coming home from work I checked the mail before I came in the house. I always search through to see if there is anything for me and I scrolled through a number of letters from a billion different unviersities with Joe's name on them for football scholarship offers etc. As I am searching through I noticed a letter from UCLA with Mark Kruger on it. I said to myself this kid is in eight grade this has got to be a mistake! I open the letter because I was so curious and in it is a hand written letter from the UCLA coach! Saying Mark, we can't officially recruite you now but please know there is a full ride scholarship waiting for you and we will be recruiting you as soon as you are of age etc etc! I burst out laughing in the driveway as I read this! I couldn't believe that my little brother mark was already recieving hand written letters from major football teams at his age. I mean coach Kyle Whittingham at Utah has already said there is a full ride waiting for him and so has coach Bronco Mendenhall but letters at this age is hilarious! As I'm standing there I look down the street and here comes rolling up in those rip stick/skateboard things is my still-in-his-baby-fat-hasn't-hit-puberty-yet little brother mark. He was sloppily trying to ride his ripstick and bounce a ball up the street as the same time. I just sat there and laughed at my collegiate athletic but yet so uncoordinated football dominating little brother. Even though Erica is younger than him we consider him the baby. Everyone always says that Paul, David, and Joe are going to all make it to the NFL, well guess what people.... My money is on MARK!!! Out of the three older brothers Mark is the only 8th grader in the family to recieve a hand written letter at 13! I am very proud of my little brother Marky.

At The Symphany!

Tony suprised me the other day by taking me to the symphany. We actually got fairly good seats compared to what we could have had. I had to laugh because those who have been to the symphany before know that the floors are uneven on the entire upper floors so as your walking to your seat you can feel gravity pulling you to the railing and you feel like you are going to fall over the side so for me and my special depth perception mixed with uneven floors I had to hold on to Tony and a chair the entire time while walking/tip toing to my seat. Once I made it to my chair I chuckled as Tony filled the entire chair and half of mine. This wasn't lard falling over the seats it was just a big dude that was too big for the tony chairs. If my bum filled the seat then Tony's bum definately wasn't moving the entire time. After about an hour of listening to the music and commenting to Tony about how funny it would be if the instructor that was leading as intensly as he was naked, I started falling asleep in my chair (sorry Tony). Tony gave me a nudge and said it was time to go and he could tell that I was sleepy so he had me wait inside while he went and got the car. So sweet so very sweet. Thanks for the fabulous weekend mister.

So... Pretty much everyone is aware but I am engaged to the man of my dreams Mr. Tony Bergstrom. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world! I never thought I would ever be able to find someone that is more perfect for me. For those of you who don't know Tony and his family are from Salt Lake City with generations of Ute roots! He is an offensive lineman for the University of Utah, and yes all of my brothers approve of him! Paul is even the one who introduced us. Tony is 22 years old, he served an LDS mission in Sacramento California he is planning on med school after he receives his bachelors in micro biology at the U. He is my large, tall, dark, and handsome man that I have been looking for (even though he's a tad pasty). We got engaged on Thanksgiving day. I am so excited to marry my Tony and I know that we will be eternally happy.

San Diego Football & Hotel Del Coranodo

Girls Weekend in San Diego! Me, my mommy, Erica and Rose decided to go down to the San Diego vs. Utah game, Brooke and Julie met us there also. We had a ton of fun for example we had a party bus that was at our beck and call to take us anywhere we wanted throughout the city. My mom and Rose also had a GPS in their car so the mommys knew where they were going as well. Both hotels we stayed at were incredible. My Mom, Erica, and Rose stayed at a hotel was right on the ocean with a private beach so we all hung out over there and went back and forth from their hotel to ours that was a great hotel (thanks to Brooke) it was also the hotel that all the players stay at including the BF Mr. Tony Bergstrom (isn't that convenient). We hung by the pool and just relaxed until Saturday when it was time to put the game faces on!!! 63-14 baby!

Fundraiser

These pictures are at the fundraiser for Jane. Alot of great people showed and donated generously to Jane and her family. The helmet I am holding was signed by everyone on the team and someone the two guys in the picture below both donated $750 for the helmet and a signed football. Its amazing how many people come out to help people they hardly even know. Jane is back in the hospital going through her second round of Chemo. She is doing pretty well as of now!

Some Cousin Time!

This is a picture of Jane holding her two week old baby sister. Jane had beautiful brown hair all the way down to the bottom of her back. Her and her mother agreed that before she lost it that it should be given to the Locks of Love hair donation center so some other child could benefit from it. Jane's face is also a bit swollen in this picture from the medication being taken for her lukemia but as you as can see she is still as beautiful as ever!

Recently, My moms sisters children have been staying at my house for a day or two at a time so my Aunt can get some rest from being at the hospital. For those of you who haven't heard my nine year old cousin Jane was diagnosed with lukemia about a month ago and has been in the hospital ever since. She has the type of Lukemia that only about 2% of people get so it is very hard to treat and many things have gone wrong. She has started losing all her hair and her mother has gently comforted her in knowing that losing your hair is awesome and it will always come back. We let her know how awesome her new hats look on her and we plan on wearing some too so we all can look great in our beanies! She is finally speaking full sentences and will have a full conversation with me which is such an improvement and comfort. I never imagined how hard it was and what strength you have to have to deal with something like this. I commend Jane's parents for being so strong for Jane and also being there and keeping their other children at the same time. Please keep little Jane in your prayers. I was able to snap a few shots and a video of me, David and my mother entertaining little Mathew and Kate playing in our family room. You have to watch the video and listen to Matt laugh as david twirls him through the air. I don't know what it is about a childs laugh but I can't help but laugh right along with him.

As always the highlight of my week is that Utah football games. I must say that the Oregon State game was the funnest and most exciting game I have ever been to. I love the picture above, you will notice Mark in the locker room with a group of players after the victory. Mark absolutely loves to follow Paul around and Paul is always gracious enough to let him. He always makes Mark feel apart of things, what an awesome older brother!

Me and Mom at the gun range.... I made her come with me so she wouldn't be so scared of guns. By the time we got going she wanted to shoot longer than I did haha. I was testing out the two new guns I got. I bought a pink lady gun that was having some problems so I took it back and traded it for a 9mm gun that will blow your whole arm off. Speaking of that I was in Gunnies (western store) the other day looking at guns and I noticed a man holiding a huge 50 caliber pistol basically a gun that has massive deady bullets that could take down a bear easy! So i look at him and I'm all soo... you lookin at getting that gun? And he's all ya I think so.... I proceed to say " Dang that thing will blow your arm right off!" After saying that I walk past him to go to another gun counter and notice that the DUDE ONLY HAS ONE ARM!!! There was nub where his right arm was supposed to be! I felt so bad and then I couldn't help but laugh out loud. I think he knew what I was laughing about... Give me a break ok? What are the freakin odds of a dude with one arm holding a 50 cal gun with now freakin arm. hahaha that would for sure only happen to me.

Joes Trip to the Hospital

During Joe's football game on Friday night he went out for a pass and was reaching in the air and got nailed in the chest by a short stubby kids helmet causing one of Joe's lungs to partially collapse and bruise. Joe being the quiet one that he is slowly wandered off the field and on to the bench without saying a word to anyone that he was in pain or had been injured. It wasn't until it was his time to go back in when coaches noticed that he was falling in and out of conciousness on the bench. I went on the field with my mom and dad to see what was up with the fool, He was breathing so fast and shallow and was so pale! I had him lay his back and breathe in and out with me as slowly as he could and he tried that for a while but it kept getting worse to the point where he was shaking uncontrollably and passing out over and over. Finally we called an ambulance which took about 15 minutes to get there, and they put him on oxygen and cut off his clothes which was nothing new to me seeing that I went through the same scenario about six months ago. We get to the hospital and they hook him up to some IV's and take some scans, x-rays etc. That is where we found out that one of his lungs was bruised and fell lower than it should have. blah blah blah. He was ok! While this tramatic event took place I was able to snap a couple of pictures just to document for Joe his personal event. As you will see in the pictures he obviously woke up after awhile and was being very entertaining for my camera... HAHAHAH I love you JOE.... I would also like to say that all mothers better get a pass straight to heaven. Bless my mothers soul for putting up with all the heart wrenching hospital trips and most of all for putting up with these damn boys!! I'm sure those of you who have boys can relate! We love mommy's

Its Smokey Baby

So basically I'm in Wendover sitting at a table eating (as usual) and a man comes up to me and asks me what I am doing that night. I respond annoyed that I am going to the Smokey Robinson concert. (he is an amazing singer that wrote a ton of songs for some very famous peeps for example Stevie Wonder) So the man proceeds to ask me if I want to go back stage after and meet Smokey in person. I said ya if you see me just come and grab me. I just thought that this guy was walking around trying to find people to go backstage and blah blah blah so I wasn't very nice to this dude. So I go to this concert and it was amazing! Smokey even in his old age still rocks the house "I love it when were cruisin together baby." Anyway after the show Ethan comes up to me and says are you ready to go backstage and Rose Blakelock was with me and I could tell she really wanted to meet him so I said yes and Rose and I went backstage. To my suprise It was me, Rose, Smokey, his background singers, and Smokeys family just hanging out in the back. There was also one other girl that had won a backstage pass doing some lottery thing and she was balling getting her picture taken with him and then she left. It was so funny. There was a massive table full of food and fruit and they told me to sit down and hang out. I was totally under the impression that tons of people would be back there getting autographs or whatever. Oh no no no. I got a personal chill session with the fool. I came to the conclusion (and it was obvious every time I turned around) that Smokey and Ethan (Ethan is smokeys manager btw) loved crackers with black girls asses! Hahaha Me being the cracker! Oh and when I was leaving Ethan goes "hey beautiful" heres my card and he wrote down his cell phone number on the back and said. "send me that picture and call me if you ever need anything" hahaha

Me, Julie, Meredith and Melissa all sitting around the campfire up Squaw Peak Canyon. About four cars full of fools four wheeled up to this lovely location. I fortunately was able to drive Julie and Meredith safetly to the our location. They were pretty nervous driving up on dirt roads. (meredith recently rolled her car so she was pretty much gripping the oh shit handle the whole time) I know my driving capabilities so I was as free as a bird! Julie.... I don't know why Julie was nervous... It could have been that she knows I can't see very well but I don' t know why that would be concering to anyone hahaha.

Of course me being the rebel that I am took off my shirt and disobeyed the rule of life. Although I did put it back on after the whole camp left screaming and running.. Every chance I get I am outside in the sun! Or should I say when Utah is fortunate enough to recieve some sunlight which lately is about once a week! Being outside brings sunshine to my sould ecspecially with family and friends there to enjoy it with. The latest outdoor adventure is camping up Spanish Fork Canyon and dying through a Duathlon with my friend Julie Anderson who got first place overall for women! What a champ! I was also fortunate enough to recieve a medal 2nd place for my age group 20-25yr olds!

When Not indoors my family and I and whoever wants to party "take it to the house" inside where a very uncoordinated yet sweaty dance party takes place.

Here are some pictures of Paul #11 playing up at the University of Utah. We are happy to announce that David has also signed with the U and has chosen to be #44 so look out! Jonathan has also been offered a scholarship there as a sophomore in High school. We are supportive of wherever he chooses to go although GO UTES!! Our little Marky was assured that he also had a scholarship waiting for him when he is of age :).
